Celebrity nightlife promoter and businessman, Cubana Chief Priest, has responded to Cosmas Maduka, Chairman of Coscharis Group, after the latter criticized his phrase ‘Money na Water.’

Maduka, during a recent speaking engagement, had taken a swipe at the popular saying, often used to portray wealth and abundance, arguing that the shallow displays of money were not values he aligned with.

However, in a detailed post on Instagram, Cubana Chief Priest pushed back, accusing Maduka of being out of touch with the evolving dynamics of wealth creation in the digital era.

According to Cubana Chief Priest, while the older generation built wealth through traditional means like factories, fleets, and real estate, today’s generation operates in what he called an attention economy, where visibility is the new currency.

He emphasized that social media engagement and online presence today hold as much value as physical assets once did.

Taking further aim at Maduka, Chief Priest criticized the billionaire’s behavior at a recent event, claiming he pretended to use the restroom just to leave discreetly and avoid mingling.

He also urged Maduka to remove himself from the ranks of Tony Elumelu and Femi Otedola, whom he praised for using their wealth and platforms to elevate Africa’s image globally.

Clarifying that his viral phrase ‘Money na Water‘ is not about vanity or wastefulness, but rather a metaphor for abundance and influence in the modern age.
