    English Premier League club, Crystal Palace have celebrated their winger Ismaïla Sarr for winning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with the Terenga Lions of Senegal.

    The Senegalese returned to Crystal Palace Training Ground on Thursday, January 22, 2026, after Senegal’s AFCON trophy parade celebrations in Dakar on Tuesday, January 20.

    Crystal Palace gave a guard of honour to Ismaïla Sarr for winning the AFCON with his nation and representing the Eagles well in the tournament in Morocco.

    Palace posted the video of the guardd of honor with the caption “A hero’s welcome for Ismaïla Sarr.”

    Senegal on Sunday, January 18, 2026, were crowned Champions of Africa for the second time in history after beating host nation Morocco 1-0 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

    Senegal have now joined the list of countries that have won the Africa Cup of Nations more than once.
