Ghanaian and fashion icon Zynnell Zuh has addressed the widespread misconception that the entertainment industry is a haven for individuals lacking academic aptitude or a last resort for those deemed failures in life.

Speaking candidly on the subject, Zynnell expressed her dismay at the negative perceptions surrounding entertainers. “It is unfortunate that people often undervalue the intelligence of those pursuing their passions in the creative arts,” she remarked.

Zynnell, who boasts an impressive academic background, holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Geography and Information Studies from the University of Ghana and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Mountcrest University College. Just last month, she added another feather to her cap by earning a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from BPP University in the United Kingdom.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the actress emphasized that her academic accomplishments contradict the stereotype of entertainers lacking intelligence.

“The perception that individuals in showbiz aren’t smart is a stereotype I strongly oppose,” she stated. “It takes immense intelligence and versatility to balance creativity, business, and strategic planning. Many creatives are highly educated and use their platforms to make a positive societal impact. It’s crucial to challenge such misconceptions and celebrate the diversity of talent within the industry.”

Zynnell shared that her latest academic milestone positions her to delve into new ventures, particularly in commercial and entertainment law. She plans to blend her creative talents with her legal expertise to enhance her endeavors in film production, fashion, and philanthropy.

“Earning my Master of Laws degree from BPP University is a significant achievement that solidifies my commitment to integrating my creative and legal pursuits,” she explained. “My goal is to specialize in entertainment and commercial law, managing the legal aspects of my film production company, fashion business, and charity organization.”

She further elaborated on her vision, stating, “This journey is part of my evolution into a multifaceted brand that harmonizes creativity, business, and philanthropy. I am focused on delivering greater value to my audience—whether through thought-provoking films, empowering fashion pieces, or impactful charity work.”

Zynnell also revealed plans to expand her fashion brand into ready-to-wear collections and elevate her film production company with new projects.

“This degree has given me the tools to dive deeper into commercial and entertainment law, which will provide invaluable support to creative businesses like mine. I’m excited about what lies ahead,” she added.
