A major ruling from the Kumasi High Court has settled the long-running dispute over the marital status of the late highlife musician Daddy Lumba.
The court has affirmed that both Odo Broni, known legally as Priscilla Ofori Atta, and Akosua Serwaa Fosuh qualify as his legitimate spouses.
This outcome brings clarity to months of public argument and legal confrontation surrounding who should carry out the widowhood rites, who has authority over the musician’s estate, and who can rightfully be recognised as his widow.

In delivering its decision, the court noted that Akosua Serwaa did not present the original documents to support claims of a civil marriage with the late musician. What was submitted were extracts, not a certified and authentic marriage certificate, Myjoyonline reported.
