Ghanaian musician and socialite Sam Kwabena Safo Jr, popularly known as Showboy, will remain behind bars after the Adenta Circuit Court turned down his latest bail request.
The ruling came during a court session on March 10, 2026, as Showboy faces accusations of defamation, blackmail, and cyberbullying filed by Ghanaian businessman Davido GH.
The defence sought a new bail order, but the judge refused, confirming that the musician will stay in custody while the case moves forward.
This legal battle follows a tense incident at Showboy’s residence earlier this week.

A video that circulated widely on social media showed men believed to be Criminal Investigation Department officers trying to arrest the artiste during a live TikTok broadcast.
In the video, Showboy appeared visibly upset and confronted the officers, saying they had not shown proper arrest documents.
He insisted he would not comply, telling both the officers and his online audience, “I cannot be arrested without official authorization.”
This was after he was remanded for two weeks following his first court appearance.
