The Accra High Court has pushed forward its ruling on the latest legal tussle surrounding the funeral rites of music legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, widely known as Daddy Lumba.

Earlier today, Thursday December 11, 2025, the court adjourned the case to Friday, December 12, 2025 at 10 am, which is just a few hours to the already publicised date by Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu.

This suit in question was filed by five maternal relatives of the late musician (Obaapanyin Afia Adomah Pakoso, Robert Gyamfi (Wofa Yaw Poku Asuafua), Georgina Gyamfi, Ernestina Fosuh, and Nana Afia Kobi Parkoso) who are asking the court to place restrictions on funeral plans and the management of memorial funds until a final ruling is determined. who are seeking an order to halt the release of Daddy Lumba’s body and freeze all activities related to the Daddy Lumba Memorial Foundation account until they grant approval.

Their demand is aimed at preventing any funeral arrangements or financial transactions from proceeding without their involvement.

The defendants named in the suit include Kofi Owusu Abuakwa, CAL Bank Ghana, and Transitions Funeral Home in Accra.

Speaking after the adjourned hearing, the legal representative for the plaintiffs said they are prepared to wait and abide by the decision of the court.

This legal action is entirely separate from the ongoing appeal by Daddy Lumba’s first wife in Germany, who is so seeking to be the sole widow.
