Ghanaian Highlife musician, Kofi Nti, has revealed that an issue of copyright infringement involving American movie producer, Tyler Perry has been settled.

Some months ago, a video of Tyler Perry’s ‘Sistas’ series popped up online with Kofi Nti and Ofori Amponsah’s ‘Odo Nwom’ being used in the behind-the-scenes.

This triggered a lot of questions on whether the musicians behind the song were contacted or not.

It turned out that they were not informed before the song was used.

According to him, the issue was settled after their lawyer in the United Kingdom contacted Tyler Perry’s team.

He acknowledged that he did the song with Ofori Amponsah. However, he did not disclose the amount paid to them to settle the copyright infringement issue.
