Police seized drugs, firearms and tens of thousands of dollars in cash during raids on a western Sydney drill rap gang.

Strike force detectives carried out 11 search warrants across the city’s west on Tuesday and charged nine men and women between the ages of 22 and 39.

During the searches, officers found six firearms, several hundred rounds of ammunition, $43,000 in cash, a taser and numerous encrypted criminal communication devices, which are prohibited.

They also seized 3kg of cocaine, 2.6kg of methylamphetamine, 644 grams of cannabis, and 126 grams of MDMA.

Of the nine, all but one faces a raft of charges.

A 25-year-old man arrested in South Penrith has been charged with 23 offences relating to the supply of drugs and firearms, and knowingly directing the activities of  a criminal group.

Another 25-year-old man faces 15 offences relating to the supply and possession of drugs and firearms.

Eight of the men and women arrested were refused bail to appear in Penrith Local Court on Wednesday.

Strike Force Cipolin was established in December 2024 by the State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad to investigate the drug and firearm supply of members and associates of a drill group hailing from Sydney’s west.

Prior to yesterday, police had seized five firearms and more than 800g of methylamphetamine as part of investigations into the group.

Investigations under Strike Force Cipolin continue.
