Albert Nat Hyde, also known as Bongo Ideas, has praised John Dumelo, the member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, for collaborating with YouTuber Wode Maya and the BuzStop Boys on a sanitation push in Okponglo.
Bongo Ideas highlighted that if John Dumelo continues in this manner, the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat will be his till he decides to retire.
On March 31, 2025, the MP, Wode Maya, and the BuzStop Boys collaborated to remove blocked gutters at Okponglo as part of an environmental initiative.
In a viral video uploaded by SIKAOFFICIAL, John Dumelo was seen enthusiastically engaging in the cleanup, working hard with a shovel to gather sand from the gutter.
According to rumors, John Dumelo gave GH₵10,000 to fund the clearing charge for the BuzStop Boys’ freshly imported mini excavator.
Bongo Ideas responded to John Dumelo’s environmental effort by writing, “Serve the people, don’t grow prideful, attend to their needs swiftly, speak to them with respect, and be present and available.
Continue like this, and you’ll have the Ayawaso West seat until you decide to retire!”
During his engagement with constituents at the Okponglo traffic light, John Dumelo had a pleasant conversation with some traders who requested assistance during the clean-up activity.
Meanwhile, since becoming an MP, Dumelo has been actively working to address development concerns in his constituency.
He recently played a crucial role in alleviating traffic congestion at Okponglo Junction by working with the Department of Urban Roads to install a traffic signal controller, ensuring that non-functional traffic lights were restored.
