A married Connecticut lunch lady imprisoned for sexually abusing an underage boy has had further romantic and reputational disgrace heaped upon her.

Andie Rosafort, 35, will have been in jail for two years next month over the 2023 sex attack on the youngster, who was just 14 at the time.

The Daily Mail can now reveal that she was dumped by her roofer husband Andre while awaiting trial, with the couple’s divorce since completed.

And to add financial woes to her domestic ones, Rosafort faces a civil lawsuit over her abuse of the boy.

She is due to be freed from prison in early 2027, but the youngster’s suit, if successful, could pile money worries on Rosafort as she seeks to rebuild her shattered reputation and career.

The boy’s civil complaint, seen by the Daily Mail, claims the youngster suffers from PTSD as a result of Rosafort’s grooming and sexual assault, which took place in a car. She has yet to file a response to the suit.

His lawsuit said the memory of the attack, which the boy ran away from, gives him sweats and racing heartbeat. Rosafort has yet to respond to the lawsuit.

According to the divorce complaint filed in February of 2023 and seen by the Daily Mail, Andre said their marriage had ‘broken down irretrievably’. No mention was made of Rosafort’s crimes.

The couple had married in July of 2017 in Brewster, New York, six years prior to the allegations made against Rosafort. They resided in New Fairfield, Connecticut.

As part of their split, formally rubber stamped by a judge in November 2023, the two agreed to joint legal custody of their children, two girls aged 12 and 7, and to play equal roles in their lives.

However, the decree did stipulate that ‘if and when’ Rosafort was imprisoned, her husband would then become their sole legal guardian.

Despite Rosafort’s crimes, the divorce said that the couple agreed ‘the other is a fit parent’ and that Andre would not oppose any effort by Rosafort to regain custody after being released.

It was also agreed that Andre would pay his ex-wife $250 per week in child support, while Rosafort waived all alimony ‘past, present and future,’ the agreement said.

As for the property, Andre filed a motion with the court in April of 2023 asking that he be given exclusive use of their home.

According to the motion seen by the Daily Mail, that was due to his wife’s arrest sparking ‘national media attention.’

His motion said that reporters had been outside of their address, worth an estimated $634,000, all of which had caused ‘marital conflict’ and ‘unnecessary tension.’

The motion also said that Rosafort had alternative accommodation to move to in order to protect their privacy.

As part of their agreement, it was also agreed that Andre would pay his wife $35,000 so he could become sole owner of the former marital home.

The two kept their respective vehicles in the split, while Rosafort held onto her jewelry and secured a portion of one of her ex-husband’s pension pots, the papers said.

According to an arrest affidavit, she had messaged her victim and asked the boy: ‘You want to see something?,’ before sending him a nude image of herself.

When the boy replied asking if she had possibly sent the picture by mistake, Rosafort sent a second unsolicited nude selfie.

Among the messages, Rosafort had also sent videos of herself masturbating over the course of several months, the affidavit claimed.

Rosafort was also accused of asking the 14-year-old to send her nude photographs of himself in return, the affidavit claimed.

The victim also told police that Rosafort attended his sports games and sent him videos of him playing.

On the day of the incident, the teen had been at a party and told his friends that he had to leave because he needed to see his family, the affidavit said.

His friends felt that something was off after he left in the middle of the event. When he returned, his friends felt as though the boy was ‘acting strange.’

After returning, the teenager allegedly told them that he had ‘left the party to have sex with a woman’, the affidavit continued.

Details from the arrest warrant show how the victim had sexual intercourse in a vehicle but that he ‘ended the encounter because he began to feel weird about it.’

The boy told his parents two days later after feeling ‘very weird and guilty’ about what happened, the affidavit said.

The arrest affidavit said that police were able to find evidence that showed the victim and Rosafort in the same location when the alleged sexual assault occurred.

When the allegations came to light, Rosafort resigned from her part-time position at the school – having previously been warned to watch her interactions with minors.

The civil lawsuit filed by her victim and his family named the school’s principal, the school board and it’s superintendent as well as the town as defendants.

In the lawsuit, they claimed Rosafort ‘exploited her position of trust’ at the school in a ‘willful and malicious’ manner.

As well as PTSD and episodes of a racing heartbeat, they also said he suffered from ‘feelings of shame, humiliation, guilt and anxiety’.

The suit, which is seeking at least $15,000 in damages and originally filed in December of 2024, claimed that the school and its board were negligent and careless.

As a result of their alleged ‘negligence and carelessness’, the boy was unable to enjoy his teenage years, the complaint said.

It is also claimed in the lawsuit that the family were ‘forced’ to spend money on therapy for the boy as a result of their alleged behavior.

The defendants, excluding Rosafort who was marked down as non-appearing, filed a special defense saying that if the boy and his family were damaged, it was due to their ‘own negligence’.

Their response also said that the defendants were protected by the Doctrine of Governmental Immunity, a rule that protects government workers.

The Daily Mail has approached an attorney representing the defendants for comment on the suit, as well as a legal representative for the family.

Since being imprisoned, she has been kept inside the state’s York Correctional Institution in East Lyme.

Last November she appeared at a state parole hearing where she was denied early release.

According to the News Times, she told the hearing that she spent her 20s as a ‘young mom and wife’ that grew into ‘feeling unloved, unseen, unheard.’

She added: ‘I lost a grasp on life for a short period of time. Through filling a void in my life, I negatively impacted the victim. I am truly accountable and take responsibility for my crime.’

Rosafort added that she was ‘thankful’ for her ‘opportunity’ to be inside the facility, saying it had allowed her to ‘learn true compassion and grace.’

When being questioned she also said that she believed her victim intended to extort her, the board said that belief was unsupported by any facts, the outlet reported.

A letter was read to the board, in which the boy’s family described her as a ‘calculated predator.’

They added: ‘This is a dangerous person. She has shown no remorse for her actions. Andie Rosafort put us all in prison the night she assaulted my child.

‘We will now be here forever. She should not serve a minute less than that generously lenient sentence she was given.’
