Sydney train commuters have been warned to expect delays.

Emergency services were called to Parramatta station on Thursday afternoon, triggering delays across the city’s western network.

One commuter on X said they were ‘evacuated off our train and told trains were not running west of Parramatta’.

Transport NSW confirmed the incident online.

‘Allow extra travel time due to an incident requiring emergency services at Parramatta,’ it said.

‘Trains may stop on platforms or between stations for longer than normal.

‘Stops may change at short notice.’

More to come…
