Claudia Schiffer may have made looking beautiful appear effortless on the catwalk for the past 35 years – but her evening routine proves it is anything but.

The 55-year-old, known as the ‘supermodel’s supermodel’ due to her dedication to the craft, has revealed her 12 meticulous rituals before bed.

Like many of us she cleans the kitchen and lets the dog out for a final toilet break before reading a good book and settling down for an early night.

However, that is where for most of us the similarities end.

Throughout the evening she takes at least six supplements and ensures there is time for a 20-minute lie down on a £1,300 infrared mat to keep her ‘grounded’ and relaxed.

Her evening meal is organic grass-fed meat or fresh fish with salad or ‘veggies’ followed by a post-dinner treat of sheep’s yoghurt with three types of powdered magnesium.

There is no bed before a long bath in Epsom salts and rubbing stem cell serum and other ‘very natural’ lotions into her face.

A quick final glance at her vitals and step count on her Oura smart ring is the last thing she does before kissing her husband Sir Matthew Vaughn and going to sleep.

Ms Schiffer admits she loves a book from the Court of Thorns and Roses series – but she usually reads it on her ‘grounding’ infrared mat

Ms Schiffer set out her evening routine in an interview with the EE72 fashion and lifestyle website run by former Vogue editor Edward Enninful and his sister Akua.

Claudia spoke from her Cotswolds mansion and revealed that when she’s not away working, Zoom calls are scheduled to be over by late afternoon so she is free when her teenage daughter Cosima comes in from school.

They then sit down together for a 6pm-sharp dinner.

Before lifting a fork to her mouth, Claudia’s meal begins with a starter of amino acid tablets with added protein to help the married mother-of-three recover from her daily gym session.

‘I tuck into a dinner of grass-fed organic meat or salmon/anchovies with crisp salad or veggies’, she says, adding that this is often combined with a video call to her eldest daughter Clementine in New York and son Caspar in London.

Pudding is a bowl of organic sheep’s yoghurt laced with Beeya – a blend of three different magnesium powders meant to improve sleep. Nuts roasted in the oven are also mixed in.

More supplements follow, this time pure Ashwagandha, a medicinal herb from a bush grown in the Middle East and North Africa. It is said to help with anxiety and stress as well as aiding sleep.

This is washed down with a cup of chamomile tea from the exclusive Daylesford Organic brand.

Then her beauty routine begins, popping on a £275 infrared mask or perhaps sitting in front of a £500 infrared screen to fire restorative light on to her face while her daughter is in the shower.

‘I follow this with 20 minutes on my HigherDose PEMF Mat from Healf for grounding, while reading my book from the series A Court of Thorns and Roses’, she says.

Claudia’s 12 rules: Supermodel’s meticulous evening routine

1. When not away working, be at home ‘to give a kiss to my 15-year-old daughter who just walked through the door’.

2. Dinner at 6pm, with a starter of amino acid tablets.

3. She ‘tucks in’ to grass-fed organic meat or salmon/anchovies with salad and vegetables.

4. Pudding of sheep’s yoghurt with a blend of three magnesium powders.

5. More vitamins ‘along with a mug of Daylesford Organic chamomile tea’.

6. Clean up the kitchen after dinner and let out the dog.

7. 10 minutes in front of an infrared light by Bon Charge. This could be a mask or a larger £500 light therapy board.

8. 20 minutes on a Infrared mat while reading a book from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series.

9. A ‘long catch up’ with her husband Matthew Vaughn.

10. A bath with Epsom salts before using stem cell serum, Vitamin C lotion and moisturiser mixed with ‘facial oil’ on her face.

11. Pops in to see her daughter and kiss her goodnight.

12. Check her vitals and step count on her Oura ring before kissing her husband and going to sleep.

The £1,300 mats warms her body and sends gentle pulses into her back to help her unwind and recharge.

Claudia then sits down with her husband, English film director Sir Matthew Vaughn, for a ‘long catch up.. about the day’.

Claudia then heads to her luxurious bathroom for a soak.

‘I have a bath with Epsom salts’ before she wraps herself ‘in a luxuriously large towel’, she says.

Her ‘very natural’ pre-bed routine then begins.

‘I brush my teeth with fluoride-free toothpaste and start my evening skincare routine with stem cell serum, Vitamin C lotion and moisturiser mixed with some drops of facial oil all by Bamford. All very natural’, she says.

She pops in give 15-year-old Cosima a kiss goodnight before heading to bed.

‘I check my Oura ring to make sure I’ve reached 10,000 steps’, Claudia says, although it is not clear what happens if she hasn’t.

She then ‘slips in’ to her ‘wonderfully soft’ 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.

‘The perfect close to my day after a last kiss to my husband’, she says.

Claudia’s detailed rules for a good night’s sleep came just days after her husband increased his stake in Brentford FC – where she is also known to spend some of her evening when there is a match in west London.

The high-flying Bees, currently seventh in the Premier League under Keith Andrews, have announced further investment from philanthropist Gary Lubner and the acclaimed filmmaker.

Vaughn, who married Claudia in 2002, is thought to have doubled his stake, along with Lubner, who is one of the Labour Party’s biggest donors.

When the pair took 10 per cent last year it was based on a valuation of around £400m.

The club have also announced the appointment of two new directors – chairman of Universal Music Group Sir Lucian Grainge CBE and senior exec at Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, Prakash Melwani.

The two new arrivals have joined the board of Best Intentions Analytics Limited, the club’s holding company.

Matthew Benham remains the majority owner, having taken full control of the club in 2012.

A club spokesperson said the investment will allow for ‘continued growth on and off the pitch’ and will ‘create enhanced commercial opportunities’.

Vaughn, who directed Layer Cake and was a producer on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and the Fantastic Four, said: ‘When Gary and I closed our first round of investment, we knew we were on to something good. And six months on, that’s proving to be true with a competitive squad, a brilliant head coach and an off-pitch team that’s second to none. It’s a privilege to be part of the Brentford family.’

Sources have disclosed that the investment should impact on Brentford’s transfer activity and ability to attract targets that reflect its growth in the Premier League.
