GADone Records, a label under which Ghanaian rapper Kofi Jamar has been signed, has debunked some allegations made by the musician.
On August 1, 2025, Kofi Jamar took to his X page to level a series of allegations at the record label, claiming that he has been neglected even though his contract with the organisation hadn’t expired.
According to the musician, he has reached out to the label numerous times, seeking clarity on his future; however, every effort has proven futile.
In a recent development, the label in a statement issued on August 2, 2025, described the musician’s claims as untrue.
According to GADone Records, the musician is still under the label and yet to fulfil his key obligations under the contract.
The label in its statement claimed that the musician has been engaging in numerous breaches of contract, such as unauthorised release of songs through a personal distributor without their knowledge.
“As of today, he is has yet to fulfil all his key obligations under the contract. Also, there have been repeated breaches of contract by the artiste, notably the unauthorised release of music through personal distributor accounts and engagement in business activities without the label’s consent,” the statement reads.
GADone Records added that Kofi Jamar has access to both a designated manager and the label’s regional head; therefore, claims of being ignored are lies.
“Additionally, at all material times, the artiste has had full and ongoing access to both his designated managers and the label’s regional head. Accordingly, any claims that the label neglected or ignored the artiste are unfounded,” the statement added.
