A video has surfaced online showing a group of church members darkening their faces, following instructions reportedly given by their prophetess.

In the clip, the congregation could be seen praying fervently on their feet, while their faces were smeared with a dark substance believed to be charcoal.
According to reports, the prophetess instructed her followers to darken their faces as a spiritual act to ‘destroy shame’ and remove any form of reproach from their lives.
The unusual scene has sparked widespread reactions online, with many questioning the practice and its spiritual basis.
As of the time of this report, the identity of the church and its prophetess had not been confirmed, though the video continues to circulate widely across social media platforms.
Below are some of the comments;
“The world is a beautiful place once you remove religion from your face.”
“Just pause for a second, all I can see is the business angle. Who supplied the black stuff must be the pastor.”
“Where in the Holy Bible is that written? It’s clear some people are just too lazy to do what God actually requires of them; that’s why they’re easily deceived by anyone claiming to be a prophetess.”
“If an artist told everyone to paint their face black for a concert, you won’t give the same reaction, and now it’s regarding spiritual warfare, you are pointing at it.”
“Nigeria remains the only country where unemployment turns into outright stupidity in the name of religion, and even the educated abandon their brains.”
