Chelsea players have named the clubs they would want to face in the group stages of the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League.

The Blues who are making their return to the Champions League after two years are hoping to be drawn against some of the top teams in Europe.

Ahead of the draw on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, Chelsea players were asked to select the opponents they will love to face in the group stages.

Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez who was the first to be asked said he will love to play against Real Madrid, the record winners of the Champions League at the iconic Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Captain Reece James, Andrey Santos, Marc Cucurella and Estavao also said they would love to play against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

New striker, Joao Pedro said he would love to play against Paris Saint Germain again. Sanchez also requested for PSG just to show the world that Chelsea’s victory in the FIFA Club World Cup was not a fluke.
