The third round of matches in the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League, played on Wednesday, October 23, 2025, delivered some thrilling results.

While several clubs cruised past their opponents to extend their winning streaks, others struggled to secure a draw or suffered defeat.

Premier League side Chelsea continued their impressive run in the competition by thrashing Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam 5-1 at Stamford Bridge. Goals from Guiu, Caicedo, Enzo Fernández, Estevão, and George sealed the emphatic win against a 10-man Ajax side.

Liverpool bounced back from their losing streak to hammer Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 in Germany. Ekitike, Van Dijk, Gakpo, and Konaté all found the back of the net, helping the Reds avoid a fifth consecutive defeat this season.

Elsewhere in Spain, Real Madrid secured three vital points despite an underwhelming performance against Juventus at the Bernabéu. Jude Bellingham’s goal helped them avoid a stumble.

Bayern Munich continued their dominant form by brushing aside Club Brugge 4-0 at the Allianz Arena. Goals from Karl, Kane, Luis Díaz, and Nicolas Jackson sealed the victory and maintained their flawless record.

Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon recorded a 2-1 win over Olympique Marseille, with Geny Catamo and Alisson Santos providing the goals.

Victor Osimhen’s brace helped Galatasaray secure a 3-1 win over Bodo/Glimt, while Athletic Club also recorded a similar 3-1 victory over Qarabag FK.

In France, AS Monaco played out a goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur, while Atalanta versus Slavia Praha also ended in a stalemate.

On the league standings, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Arsenal, and Real Madrid occupy the top five positions after winning all three of their matches.

Manchester City sit in 7th place with six points, Barcelona is 9th with six points, and Chelsea is 11th with six points. Meanwhile, Benfica, Kairat, and Ajax occupy the 34th to 36th positions as the lowest-ranked teams.
