Food was distributed across four major vantage points in Accra

Ghanaian culinary humanitarian Chef Abbys successfully led one of the largest privately organised feeding initiatives in the country on October 16, 2025, serving over 20,000 people on the streets of Accra through the landmark project.

The Big Street Feast was with the mantra, “Wherever you are, free food will find you.”

“Our goal was simple: to make everyone feel happy and loved. So in every plate we served, we added a smile. We made sure no one was left out and that every person felt seen, cared for, and appreciated. That was the true foundation of The Big Street Feast,” Chef Abbys said.

Food was distributed across four major vantage points in Accra, which included Efua Sutherland Park, Fadama Astroturf, Madina Astroturf and Kwabenya market, while seven Yango trucks delivered meals to ten distant communities (Dome, Pokuase, Ablekuma , Dansoman, Westhills, Jamestown, Bukom, Spintex, Teshie and Ashaley Botwe) A mobile truck also toured the city, reaching people unable to access distribution centers.
