One lucky Australian has won the Powerball jackpot for the second week in a row.

There was a single Division One winning ticket holder for the draw on Thursday night who has secured themself a cool $5million.

In Division Two, three players each scored $101,237.

    The winning numbers for draw 1541 were 2, 17, 11, 9, 19, 28 and 24, while the Powerball was 1.

There was a single winner in last week’s draw who also scored the top $5million prize.

The jackpot had reset from the week before that, when a solitary winner scored an unbelievable $50million.

That winner was from WA and it was the biggest Powerball prize win in that state for three years.

‘Our customer service team has been able to contact the winner,’ Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said.

‘They are very much in shock, processing this life-changing news, and they will be coming to Lotterywest HQ to claim their prize over the coming weeks when they’re ready.’
