Despite claims of a decline in Ghana’s film industry, research has revealed that Ghanaian movie producers are actually churning out a significant number of films. According to the National Film Authority, 38 Ghanaian films were released in 2024, and further research uncovered even more films that were not listed by the NFA.

A total of 42 Ghanaian films were identified as being released in 2024, showcasing the industry’s vibrancy. Some of the notable films include “Fix Us”, “Potato Potahto”, “Azali”, and “Highlife”, which have gained popularity and recognition.

The Ghanaian film industry continues to thrive, with producers pushing out new content and tackling various themes. With the release of films like “Silence”, “Adiza”, and “Freedom and Justice”, it’s clear that the industry is alive and well, offering a range of stories and perspectives for audiences to enjoy.
