Ghana Premier League icon Charles Taylor has thrown his support behind Didi Dramani, saying the Hearts of Oak trainer has what it takes to follow in the footsteps of club legend Jones Attuquayefio after Sunday’s derby triumph.
Dramani masterminded Hearts of Oak’s 1-0 victory over rivals Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on February 15, 2026, ending a five-year wait for a league win in Kumasi. The Phobians were reduced to 10 men for a significant portion of the match but showed resilience and tactical discipline to protect their slender lead.
Speaking to Angel TV, Taylor praised the team’s composure and Dramani’s game management, urging supporters to be patient with the coach. He noted that constructive criticism would come when necessary but insisted Sunday’s performance demonstrated Dramani’s quality.
Attuquayefio remains one of Hearts’ most decorated managers, having delivered four league titles, three FA Cups and continental glory in 2000 and 2001.
