An active shooter armed with a long rifle has opened fire at an In-N-Out burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, sparking an urgent manhunt as the suspect remains at large.
Witnesses shared terrifying footage showing the suspect standing in the drive-thru area of the restaurant on Saturday, wielding a large weapon resembling an assault rifle.
A second person was also seen firing a handgun at the scene. It is not clear if this is a secondary gunman in the attack, or a witness firing back.
Footage from the scene showed dozens of people fleeing across a roadway as a barrage of gunshots could be heard ringing out.
The gunman in the drive-thru, who appeared to be a young white male, was seen exiting a white vehicle and appearing to grab another gun from the trunk of his car, while terrified witnesses continued scrambling to safety.
The suspect was then seen walking through the parking lot and firing through the windshield of a Tesla.
It is unclear if there are any injuries or deaths, with Twin Falls police officers telling KMTV at the scene that they have launched an urgent manhunt and have not made any arrests.
Rock Creek Fire Chief Aaron Zent told the local outlet that officers were searching a hotel that overlooks the visitor center, including the In-N-Out location, for the suspect.
Other officers from the Idaho State Police, Jerome Police Department and Buhl Police Department from surrounding areas have also joined in the search.

Idaho Governor Brad Little said in a statement to X: ‘Idahoans, join me in keeping the Twin Falls community in your prayers as law enforcement and first responders respond to an active shooter situation near In-N-Out.
‘Please avoid the area and follow directions from law enforcement as they work to keep everyone safe.’
