Aspiring Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, has once again demonstrated his compassion and commitment to humanity by extending support to ailing Kumawood veteran Kwaku Twumasi.

Chairman Odeneho visited the veteran actor and presented an undisclosed cash donation along with assorted food items, including bags of rice, bottles of oil and other essentials, to help cushion the actor and his family during this difficult period.

Kwaku Twumasi — one of the respected faces in Kumawood — has been battling illness for several years, a situation that has kept him away from active movie roles. He is remembered for his outstanding performances in several local films, where his talent, discipline and natural delivery helped shape the Ghanaian movie industry.

Speaking during the visit, COKA noted that society must not forget the people who have sacrificed their time and talent to entertain and educate Ghanaians.

He stressed that showing love and standing with such legends in their time of need is “a moral duty, not a favour.”
The gesture has been widely commended, with many describing COKA as a leader with a genuine heart for the vulnerable. Over the years, he has earned admiration for consistently supporting widows, the needy, community groups and individuals facing challenges.

Observers believe his act of kindness does not only bring relief to the ailing actor, but also sends a strong message about caring for Ghana’s cultural icons while they are still alive.

COKA’s humanitarian spirit continues to set him apart as a compassionate leader whose politics is driven by love, service and commitment to people.
