Ghana’s Minister for Youth and Sports, Kofi Adams, has expressed strong optimism following the appointment of Carlos Queiroz as head coach of the Black Stars, describing the veteran tactician as a valuable addition to the national team.
Adams made the remarks after Queiroz paid a courtesy visit to the Sports Ministry ahead of his official unveiling at the Alisa Hotel. The Minister highlighted the Portuguese coach’s vast experience, noting that his track record at both club and international levels positions him well to lead Ghana’s senior national team.
“We are going to benefit from him, and as the saying goes, the old wine tastes the best,” Adams stated, emphasizing confidence in Queiroz’s ability to deliver results.
He further pointed out that Queiroz’s extensive exposure, including coaching at the FIFA World Cup, would be instrumental in shaping the future of the Black Stars. According to Adams, Ghana is fortunate to secure a coach with such a wealth of knowledge and global experience.
Queiroz’s appointment comes at a crucial time as Ghana intensifies preparations for upcoming international competitions, with expectations high for a revival of the team’s fortunes.
