Caitlin Clark appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Saturday night – and delivered a performance nobody expected with the NBC host as they attempted a ridiculous challenge.
The WNBA superstar appeared on the hit late night talk show promoting her new children’s book and her latest signature shoes after the end of the season.
At the end of her segment, host Fallon challenged her to shoot as many cheeseballs as possible into his mouth in 24 seconds from six feet away.
Clark seemed unsure how it would go, as did Fallon and everyone else watching as they moved apart and prepared for the clock to start.
But when they got the challenge underway, Fallon caught the first seven shots Clark threw his way.
The Indiana Fever star shouted ‘COME ON!’ and got more and more excited, screaming as each shot landed in his mouth and losing it with excitement as they eventually ended with 12 cheeseballs in 24 seconds.

Clark raised her hand and pumped her fist in celebration before high-fiving Fallon as he said, mouth full, ‘Oh my god! That was the best shooter in the world!’ as Clark added: ‘That was amazing!’.
The WNBA’s official account later shared the clip on X and wrote: ‘This is amazing.’
Clark saw her season with the Indiana Fever end in the WNBA Playoffs, losing 2-1 to the Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the postseason.
She has already been busy since her season ended, appearing on College GameDay in Iowa last month and attending a Kansas City Chiefs game with Taylor Swift.
After an injury-plagued sophomore year in 2025, Clark is ready for a more relaxed offseason in terms of her physical health while also focusing on improving her game before her fourth season as a professional.
‘I think I’ll go back and just watch a lot of film of this season,’ Clark said at her recent exit interview.
‘And find areas of things where I’ve performed well, areas where I improved, and then areas where I can continue to get better, and that was kind of what you focus on in the offseason, and focus on those skills and ways to get better.’
‘I think for myself, it’s kind of a different offseason for me. I think I was just trying to get as healthy as I possibly could and improve at the same time last year, and I think I did that really well.
‘I’m really proud of the product I put on the floor this year, and continuing to just get my body right, improve my body, get a little bit stronger, and then obviously improve in the basketball areas.’

She also appeared on ESPN’s College GameDay before Iowa hosted Ohio State this season
She continued: ‘Honestly this offseason I hope I get to just play as much as I can.
‘We’ll do a lot of structured pickup and runs and things like that, because that’s your moments to just try things and figure out skills that you can get better at, skills that you don’t have, skills that you do have that maybe you just aren’t comfortable using in the game.
‘So I think the best thing you can do is just play. And I love that in the offseason, there’s no pressure. There’s no eyeballs watching you, and you’re just getting to try things and figure out things that you’re good at and you’re bad at.’
