Ghanaian artiste manager and entertainment pundit, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has opened up about his final conversation with the late Highlife icon Dada KD.

Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, Bullgod revealed that he and Dada KD had spoken earlier on the very day the veteran singer died.

The two were discussing arrangements for an upcoming performance in London, for which Dada KD had been booked.

According to Bullgod, they had been working closely for the past two months on visa processes and logistics for the event.

During the call, Bullgod sensed something was wrong. “There was a certain discomfort in his voice,” he recalled.

When he asked Dada KD how he was feeling, the singer admitted he wasn’t well. Out of concern, Bullgod suggested they pause the conversation and speak later. He later followed up with Dada KD’s manager regarding the ongoing visa arrangements.

The unexpected news of Dada KD’s death came just hours later.

Bullgod recounted receiving a devastating phone call from his UK-based partner, Ransford, who confirmed the musician’s passing.

“I was shocked,” Bullgod said. “We had just spoken, and he seemed enthusiastic about the show.”
