Dutch international of Ghanaian descent Brian Brobbey climbed off the bench to inspire Sunderland to an incredible comeback victory over AFC Bournemouth in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Brobbey, who joined the Black Cats in the summer made an immediate impact in the highly competitive clash, scoring the match-winner six-minutes after his introduction.

The former Ajax star replaced France international, Wilson Isidor in the 63rd-minute. Brobbey wasted no time, scoring in the 69th-minute mark as Sunderland came from a two goal down to beat Bournemouth at the Stadium of Light.

Amine Adli and Tyler Adams gave the Cherries a two-goal lead in the 7th and 15th-minutes before Enzo Le Fee converted from the spot to reduce the deficit for the hosts before the half hour mark.

Putting on a stellar performance in the second half, the home team staged a massive comeback to secure victory over Bournemouth, with Brobbey emerging as the hero of the match.

Burkina Faso international Bertrand Traoré leveled the score for Sunderland in the 46th-minute. However, it was the Dutch Ghanaian attacker who rose to the occasion, scoring the decisive goal to snatch maximum points for Sunderland.

Since joining Sunderland, the 23-year-old attacker has racked up two goals and provided an assist in eight Premier League appearances.

Meanwhile, Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo, who has been in a rich vein of form for Bournemouth lasted the entire duration as his outfit fell short to Sunderland.
