A Georgia man has been arrested after calling 911 and faking a medical emergency to avoid paying his food tab.
Abdul Rasheed, 26, was arrested for calling police to report a fake medical emergency at a Red Lobster Restaurant, in Douglasville, Georgia, on September 24.
According to Douglasville police, when they arrived at the restaurant, Rasheed was completely unharmed and was not suffering any medical conditions that required treatment.
They reported that Rasheed had made the call to avoid paying the $63 he owed for his meal.
He has been charged with theft of services and unlawful conduct during a 911 call.

Rasheed was booked into the Douglas County Jail on September 25.
He is being held on a $1,500 bond for theft of services and $3,000 bond for unlawful conduct during a 911 call, according to jail records viewed by the Douglas County Sentinel.
It is unclear at this time if Rasheed has an attorney available to comment on his behalf.
