Former WBA Light Flyweight World Champion Kyosuke Takami (10-1, 8 KOs) will begin an exciting new chapter of his career in the United States under a long-term promotional partnership between Teiken Promotions and All Star Boxing, Inc.
The 23-year-old Japanese standout has moved to the 112-pound flyweight division following his successful championship run at light flyweight and is already positioned among the leading contenders in his new division, currently ranked No. 1 by the WBA, No. 4 by the IBF, No. 5 by the WBC and No. 6 by the WBO.
Takami captured the WBA Light Flyweight World Championship in July 2025 with an impressive 10th-round stoppage of Erick Rosa. In December, he faced WBO World Champion René “El Chulo” Santiago in a highly competitive world-title unification bout in Tokyo, suffering the first defeat of his professional career by split decision.
Now competing at flyweight, Takami and his team have set their sights on a new challenge: establishing his name in the United States and positioning himself for another opportunity to become world champion.
The agreement represents another chapter in the longstanding relationship between Teiken Promotions and the Zabala family, a partnership and friendship that has developed over more than three decades through numerous international events and world championship fights.

The partnership will combine Teiken Promotions’ continued guidance of Takami’s career in Japan with All Star Boxing’s experience and platform in the United States and Latin American markets, with the shared goal of expanding Takami’s international profile while guiding him toward the biggest opportunities in the flyweight division.
Takami’s United States debut is planned for October, with the date, location, opponent and broadcast information to be announced shortly.
For Takami, the move represents more than a change of division or geography. It marks the beginning of the next stage of a career that has already reached the world championship level—and an opportunity to build a new following while representing Japanese boxing on the international stage.
