Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing returns to The Paramount on Saturday, October 10, for Rockin’ Fights 55, bringing a thrilling professional boxing card to Huntington, NY for Columbus Day Weekend. Undefeated FDNY firefighter Raymond Cuadrado and Huntington’s unbeaten Ralph Clemente lead a lineup featuring neighborhood pride, knockout power, and fighters looking to make their next statement.

Cuadrado (8-0, 3 KOs), of Ridgewood, Queens, meets Efstathios Antonas (13-3-2, 4 KOs), of Archangelos, Greece, in a scheduled, highly anticipated 140-pound contest. Balancing his work as a New York City firefighter with his pursuit of success inside the ropes, Cuadrado puts his perfect record on the line against an opponent with more than twice his professional experience.
The matchup also offers an interesting local intra-Queens rivalry. While Cuadrado anticipates a large fan base from Ridgewood, New York’s Greek community in Astoria, Queens, will also be strongly invested in Antonas, who is currently living and training for this bout. The stage is set for an atmosphere fueled by both neighborhood and national pride.
For Clemente (5-0, 5 KOs), October 10 represents another opportunity to deliver in front of his hometown fans. The Huntington fighter has ended each of his first five professional bouts by knockout and will face Brooklyn’s Kamron Humphrey (5-3, 3 KOs) in a contest that has the local gyms chatting over this cross-island rivalry.
Humphrey is familiar with the Star Boxing stage, having appeared on three of the promoter’s cards, including two at The Paramount and another at St. John’s University. He returns to Huntington looking to halt Clemente’s knockout streak and hand the hometown favorite his first professional defeat. Clemente has also fought at the Paramount twice before and is looking for his third win on a Star Boxing card.
Another highly anticipated six-round matchup pairs Bronx fighter and FDNY firefighter Louis Maietta (6-6-2, 2 KOs), a fan favorite at The Paramount, with Eduardo Monrreal (3-6, 3 KOs), of El Paso, Texas, at 170 pounds.
Monrreal has already shown he can spoil a homecoming, knocking out previously unbeaten Austin Cassese at the Westchester County Center last year. With all three of Monrreal’s victories coming by knockout, Maietta will need to be alert against an KO artist opponent whose record tells only part of the story.
In a four-round, 154-pound contest, Yousaf Zazai (1-0, 1 KO), of Kabul, Afghanistan, faces Sharif One (1-0, 1 KO), of the Bronx. Both fighters enter following knockout victories in their professional debuts, with each seeking a second win.
Brooklyn’s Ra-Leek Born (4-0, 4 KOs) also faces Markus Bowes in a four-round bout. Born enters with a perfect record, having stopped all four of his professional opponents.
