Ecuadorian Abel Mina (20-4-1, 10 KOs), 33, defeated Mexican boxer Jesús Piña Nájera (25-11-4, 19 KOs) by knockout in a 10-round bout for the WBC Latino Regular and WBA Fedelatin championships.
On the same date, well-known Ecuadorian Erick Bone (32-8, 17 KOs), 37, defeated his compatriot—and previously undefeated prospect—Santos Quiñonez (8-1, 2 KOs) by unanimous decision in a 10-round fight for the WBC Latino Silver and WBA Fedelatin championships.
