Teflon Promotions presented “RePlay Volume 3” tonight at The Grand Ballroom in Philadelphia, with undefeated hometown fighter Jibril Noble-Pegese claiming the vacant NBA Continental Lightweight Championship in the eight-round main event.
Noble-Pegese Captures Vacant Championship

Noble-Pegese faced Newark, New Jersey’s Wanzell Ellison for the vacant NBA Continental Lightweight Championship.
The two fighters maintained a fast pace throughout the eight-round contest. Noble-Pegese established his jab early and gradually expanded his attack, complementing his outside boxing with effective bodywork when fighting at close range.
Ellison successfully returned fire, but Noble-Pegese consistently outworked his opponent as the bout progressed.
Noble-Pegese closed the fight strongly, landing an overhand right in the eighth round. The bout went the distance without a knockdown.
The official scores were 78-74, 78-74, and 80-72, all for Noble-Pegese, who captured the championship by unanimous decision.
Noble-Pegese’s record is 10-0 (7). Ellison’s record is 11-3-1 (5).
Anderson Scores Two Knockdowns in TKO Victory

Baltimore’s Aaron “Game Changer” Anderson faced Christian Aguirre in an eight-round middleweight bout. It was Anderson’s first scheduled eight-round contest and the biggest test of his career in terms of his opponent’s experience and number of wins.
The southpaw Anderson landed the more meaningful punches in the opening round, but Aguirre quickly changed the momentum in the second, stunning Anderson and taking control of the action.
Anderson regained his composure during the final minute of the round and carried that momentum into the third.
Anderson scored his first knockdown during the opening half of the round. Aguirre beat the count, but Anderson continued attacking. A powerful straight left produced a second knockdown later in the round.
Referee Eric Irizarry stopped the contest at 2:25 of the third round, giving Anderson the victory by TKO.
Anderson remains unbeaten at 8-0 (5 KOs). Aguirre falls to 9-15 (4 KOs).
Cangelosi Dominates Corral

The evening’s opening contest featured undefeated middleweight Cris “The Sicilian Flash” Cangelosi against veteran Saul “Navajo” Corral in an eight-round bout.
The fight marked Corral’s 60th professional bout.
Cangelosi controlled the action with superior speed and accuracy, consistently outworking and out-landing the veteran. Corral had his moments and connected with some solid punches, but Cangelosi landed the majority of the telling blows.
Cangelosi continued to build his lead as the fight progressed. He produced a particularly strong seventh round, stunning Corral, although the veteran maintained his composure and avoided a knockdown.
The bout went the full eight rounds without a knockdown. All three judges scored the contest 80-72 Cangelosi, giving him a unanimous decision victory.
Cangelosi improves to 13-0-1 (6 KOs), while Corral falls to 32-28 (20 KOs).
Noble-Pegese Headlines “RePlay Volume 3”
The three-bout card at The Grand Ballroom featured two undefeated fighters continuing their unbeaten runs, with Anderson scoring a pair of knockdowns en route to a third-round stoppage and Cangelosi earning a shutout decision.
The night’s main event provided the championship conclusion, as Noble-Pegese used his pace, jab, bodywork and consistent activity to defeat Ellison and claim the vacant NBA Continental Lightweight Championship.
