Taiwan Boxing’s No. 1 professional boxer, Chia Ching Hung (9-1-1, 7 KOs), aims to represent his country with honor this Sunday in Manila, Philippines. Hung will take on local fan favorite and ring battle-tested Alan Alberca (13-10, 6 KOs). The eight-round super featherweight bout will take place at the famed Elorde Sports Center in Parañaque City, Metro Manila.

Hung has experienced a lot for a fighter entering just his 12th professional bout. He will be fighting in his fourth different country as a visiting fighter. He won a WBC Asia title earlier in his career, but that was followed by a period of inactivity. He signed with Samuel Lee of SJL Fighter Management about a year ago and will now be competing in his third bout under the banner.

Professional boxing in Taiwan does not have a long history, but that has not deterred Hung. He remains determined and continues his journey this Sunday, hoping to stay on track to become Taiwan’s first male boxer to win a world title.
