Our fight week is coming soon. On Saturday, IBF 108-pound champion Thanongsak Simsri (40-1, 35 KOs) will make his second defense against Japan-based Filipino Mark Vicelles (21-2-1, 11 KOs) in Fuji city, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
On Sunday, Akihiko Honda’s Teiken Promotions will present a sensational quadruple world title show at Toyota Arena, Tokyo, Japan. WBC bantamweight ruler Takuma Inoue (22-2, 5 KOs) will square off against #1 Tenshin Nasukawa (8-1, 3 KOs) in a highly anticipated rematch. In quest of the interim IBF 122-pound belt, #1 Ryosuke Nishida (11-1, 2 KOs) will face #2 Aussie Sam Goodman (22-1, 8 KOs). WBC#1 and former World Championship gold medalist Tomoya Tsuboi (3-0-1NC, 2 KOs) will exchange gloves with #2 Ricardo Malajika (17-2, 12 KOs), South Africa, for the vacant WBC super flyweight belt. Also unbeaten #1 Ryusei Matsumoto (8-0, 4 KOs) and #2 Russell Acosta (17-0, 6 KOs), Mexico, will dispute the interim WBO minimumweight belt.
The headlining bout will be the rematch of Takuma Inoue and Tenshin Nasukawa since Takuma displayed a spectacular victory over legendary four-division champ Kazuto Inoue, while Tenshin very impressively halted also legendary Mexican Juan Estrada in their previous showings.
