Australian puncher Hoang Vincent Tran will face Thailand’s Apisit Sangmuang for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Continental (Asia) Heavyweight title on October 23 in Bangkok.
The fight will be one of the featured bouts of a championship extravaganza promoted by TL Promotion at World Siam Stadium.
Tran is 6-1 (6) since turning professional in November of 2025, fighting exclusively in Thailand. His last five bouts has been at World Siam, so he will be in a familiar setting.
This past August he won the ABF Heavyweight title, stopping Meka Papasang in the first round. In Sangmuang he will be in with a very experienced opponent.
23-year-old Sangmuang (24-16-2, 19 KOs) won the Thai national Middleweight title at only seventeen, and in only his second pro fight, back in 2020.
Moving up the weights he has challenged for WBC, IBA, WBA, WBF and ABF titles without success, so this is a big opportunity for him to take his career to the next level.
Now a full-fledged Heavyweight Sangmuang is coming off a first round knockout victory in August, entering the Tran encounter with momentum.
