Angel Blancarte has quickly made a name for himself in USA Boxing since first stepping into the sport in 2021.
The Hutchinson, Kansas, native has built an impressive résumé in just a few years, winning the USA Boxing National Championships twice, and now winning multiple medals on the international stage. Now, Blancarte is ready to take the next step in his young career as he prepares to represent Team USA at the 2026 World Boxing U19 Championships in Budva, Montenegro.
Blancarte has gained valuable international experience over the past two years, representing the Stars and Stripes on USA Boxing’s Youth High Performance Team in 2025 and 2026. He earned a bronze medal at the 2025 Brandenburg Cup in Germany before adding a silver medal in Thailand at the 2026 World Boxing Futures Cup.
With another opportunity to compete internationally in front of him, Blancarte knows the U19 World Championships will be another important step in his career. He will have the chance to compete against some of the best young boxers in the world while representing the United States on the biggest stage of his career so far.
“It means a lot to me because it’s a bigger opportunity to compete, learn and improve,” stated Blancarte.
After building his experience through national championships and international competition, Blancarte is ready to show what he can do with Team USA next month in Montenegro.
