In the co-main event, highly anticipated heavyweight matchup between Ireland’s Thomas Carty and Doncaster, UK’s Dave “The White Rhino” Allen ended in absolutely bizarre fashion and quickly. During a clinch, Allen landed a right hand to the side/back of Carty’s head. Carry lurched forward, through the ropes and out of the ring head first!
The ringside physicians ruled Carty unable to continue. The result was deemed a no-contest at 1:22 of the opening round. Carty will remain at 11-1, 9 KOs while Allen will stay at 27-9-2, 20 KOs.
