“I felt hands all over me; my private parts, my breasts, and everything,” Sefa has said, recalling being sexually harassed after a performance in Kasoa.

She revealed the perpetrators were both “females [and] men”.

The music star spoke to Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s midmorning programme Ayekoo Ayekoo.

Prior to this ‘frustrating’ encounter, she said she had only “been harassed verbally [and] from a distance”.

However, when it turned physical in Kasoa, she said, “I was so scared at that point in time.”

Trying to make sense of the situation Sefa said, “Personally, I felt like everybody wanted to get in my space, you know, and when you get into somebody’s space – maybe you haven’t seen the person for sometime, you want to touch the person…”

That said, however, the award-winning singer insisted, members of the public, including her fans, have to recognise “there are boundaries”.

Waving off her bouncers to allow for admirers to share her space with her, she emphasised, “does not mean that when we give you the opportunity, you take advantage of [or abuse] it”.

The Fever hitmaker remembered she was once “insulted” for agreeing to Shatta Wale having bouncers to protect his private space. Looking into the camera for emphasises, she asked her audience to take her unpleasant encounter as a vivid illustration of the need for bouncers.

Sefa’s latest offering features Camidoh and is titled All Over.
