Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has been savaged by NFL fans and analysts after his disappointing performance during their Thursday Night Football game.
The blistering criticism came just moments after Denver sealed a dramatic 17-14 overtime win against the Seattle Seahawks in their Week 6 clash.
The Broncos had been in the driving seat after heading into the fourth quarter with a 14-3 lead, before Seattle mounted a fourth-quarter comeback to send it to overtime.
In the end, a 53-yard field goal from Denver’s Wil Lutz was enough to seal the win for the hosts, sparking jubilant celebrations among the Broncos squad.
However, while Denver celebrated moving to 4-2 on the season, NFL analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick pulled no punches as he offered a scathing assessment on Nix’s game.
The third-year signal-caller completed 17 of 27 passes for just 107 yards with no touchdowns, failing to push the ball downfield as Denver managed to hold on.

Speaking on Amazon Prime, Fitzpatrick said: ‘It was really frustrating to watch and part of it is because Bo Nix is not playing competitively. It’s almost disrespectful to the quarterback position how he’s playing football.’
When asked about what he found frustrating, he continued: ‘Well there’s no fire and there’s no passion. That doesn’t mean you’ve got to be yelling at guys on the sideline or inspiring in the huddle. You can do it with your play as well. And I just don’t see it.
‘I just think that he needs to be sat down and they need to tell him, ‘being a quarterback in the NFL is a very special thing,’ and right now he’s taking it for granted, he is.
‘There’s a lot of guys that have played this game that watched that game and think, ‘that right there is garbage. That effort is garbage, and that is not a quarterback in the NFL’. We deserve better.”
Fans on social media were no kinder to the Broncos quarterback, with many pointing to his 0.6 air yards per completion rate as an indictment of his struggles.
Taking to X, one disgruntled fan said: ‘Genuinely wonder when the Bo Nix from last season is gonna wake up.’
In response to that post, one user said: ‘This is just who he is now. It’s depressing.’
‘Never seen a QB play as scared as 2026 Bo Nix. Genuinely has zero confidence to do simple things,’ another user said in a separate post.

Head coach Sean Payton had to lean heavily on defensive coordinator Vance Joseph’s unit to bail out the team, with Denver’s pass rush piling up five sacks on Sam Darnold before a crucial overtime interception set up Lutz’s game-winner.
As social media reacted, Fitzpatrick continued to rip into the Denver quarterback.
‘First of all, the guy doesn’t want to throw the ball. He has no trust from his coach. Then in overtime, he has two chances to be competitive,’ he added.
‘The last one being a designed run for him to run, make somebody miss and get a first down for your football team. They’re in the locker room right now. They’re excited, they won. But he’s not playing competitive football right now.’
