Ghanaian radio personality and musician, Blakk Rasta, has shared a shocking account of how he narrowly escaped a shooting incident at his workplace after an armed man reportedly stormed the building.

Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime TV on January 29, 2026, Blakk Rasta disclosed that the suspect allegedly came to shoot him but was instead shot during the confrontation.

According to him, the incident occurred while he was on air hosting his radio programme when the studio lights suddenly went off, initially making him believe it was a technical fault.

“A guy once came to shoot me and he was rather shot. They shot him three times. I was on the radio doing my thing and the lights all of a sudden went off in the studio. I was angry because those days, we were having issues with our generator,” he recounted.

Blakk Rasta explained that moments later, his producer rushed into the studio in panic to alert him about an armed man in the building.

“I was sitting down and my producer ran in and panting that there’s a man in the building who had a gun. He said he was coming towards the studio, but he didn’t even finish talking and he ran off out of fear,” he said.

Faced with uncertainty, the broadcaster said he struggled to decide whether to flee or hide.

“I was contemplating whether to run or hide under the table. Then I heard gunshots three times. I thought he had shot me, but I realized I was still alive,” he stated.

Blakk Rasta shared that he stepped out after a few minutes to assess the situation and saw the alleged attacker lying in a pool of blood.

“After about 5 minutes, I decided to go out and check what was going on and this guy was lying down in a pool of blood,” he added.
