Defender Alidu Seidu and winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku have returned to full training with the Black Stars for the first time since November last year, following their recovery from long-term injuries.

The duo participated in Ghana’s first training session in Morocco on Monday as preparations continued for Wednesday’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic.

Seidu, who features for Rennes in the French Ligue 1, and Issahaku, who plays for Leicester City in the English Championship, last represented Ghana in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola in Luanda.

Both players looked sharp during training and are in contention for selection in Wednesday’s fixture.

A total of 20 players trained under head coach Otto Addo at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, as the team fine-tunes tactics and fitness ahead of the match.

The encounter is scheduled for 16:00 GMT on Wednesday, 8 October 2025, at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknes, with Ghana seeking a vital win to strengthen their bid for a fifth World Cup appearance.
