The Black Stars have set off for Morocco as they prepare to face Madagascar in their next 2026 World Cup qualifier on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 7 pm.

After six winless games, the team put Chad to the sword on Friday, March 21, 2025, beating them 5-0 to pick up vital points to bolster their quest for a spot at the 2026 World Cup.

With no injuries sustained in the game against Chad, all 23 players are on board the plane to Morocco.

However, unlike Madagascar, the Black Stars have just one day to prepare for the game—a situation that doesn’t sit well with head coach Otto Addo, who expressed his frustration to the media after his side’s victory over Chad.

“It’s worrying that we have to play Madagascar barely two days after the Chad game. Sometimes I really don’t understand,” he told reporters.

Addo, however, hopes his team can make the most of the day’s rest to get their fitness levels back on track before facing Madagascar.

The crucial win sent the Black Stars to the top of the standings with 12 points, two ahead of Madagascar.
