The Black Starlets have wrapped up preparations ahead of their crucial Group D clash against South Africa at the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The team held their final training session on Tuesday evening under the guidance of Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum and his technical staff as attention shifted fully to the must-win encounter.

The session, which lasted over an hour, focused on tactical drills, attacking movements, finishing exercises, defensive shape, and set-piece routines as the coaches fine-tuned strategies for the decisive fixture. The atmosphere within camp remained positive despite the pressure surrounding the game, with players displaying determination, concentration, and intensity throughout the workout.

Ghana heads into the match with one point from their opening two games after drawing 2-2 with Algeria before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Senegal.

Coach Ogum and his assistants reportedly stressed discipline, composure, and clinical finishing during the final session as the team seeks a victory that could revive their hopes of reaching the knockout stage and qualifying for the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The technical team also received a major boost after all players trained fully with no injury concerns ahead of the encounter.

The Black Starlets have also received motivational support from Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and former Ghana midfielder Bernard Yao Kumordzi as they prepare for the decisive showdown against South Africa.
