The Ghana national under-17 football team continued their preparations for the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations with an impressive 4-2 victory over Division One League side True Life FC in a friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.
The Black Starlets made a bright start, taking control early in the game with a dominant first-half display. Captain Joseph Narbi opened the scoring before Mark Aboagye doubled the lead with a clinical finish. Gavi Robinho added a third before the break, giving the national side a commanding 3-0 advantage at halftime.
After the restart, Aboagye grabbed his second of the match to extend the lead to 4-0, as the Starlets showcased impressive attacking cohesion and control.
True Life FC mounted a late response with two goals, but it proved insufficient as the Starlets held on for a comfortable win.
The friendly forms part of Ghana’s build-up to the tournament in Morocco, with the team showing promising signs as preparations intensify.
