Ghanaian music sensation, Black Sherif, sustained a minor injury during a live performance at the Diaspora Dome, University of Ghana, on Friday, June 14, 2025.

The incident occurred while Black Sherif was thrilling a packed audience with one of his hit songs.

In a now-viral video circulating on social media, an overexcited fan, identified as Agbovi, was seen breaching security and rushing onto the stage.

Despite attempts by security personnel to prevent him, Black Sherif intervened and allowed him to dance for a while on stage.

Security personnel could be seen trying to escort Agbovi off the stage, but he managed to grab onto Black Sherif, causing the artiste to lose his balance and nearly fall into the crowd.

Following the brief scuffle, security successfully restrained and escorted Agbovi off the stage.

Black Sherif, visibly shaken, later shared that he had been struck in the mouth during the incident, resulting in a cut on his lip.

“Hey, Agbovi cut my lip,” Black Sherif could be heard addressing the crowd.

However, Black Sherif resumed his performance shortly afterwards, much to the delight of fans.

The rest of the show proceeded without further incidences.

Award-winning rapper, Sarkodie, also joined Black Sherif on stage for an energetic joint performance.
