    Ghana’s Black Satellites began their 2025 WAFU Zone B U20 Championship campaign with a closely contested 1-1 draw against Nigeria at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on July 10, 2025.

    The match against the arch-rivals, Nigeria, ended in a stalemate with both teams showing strong performances in the opening fixture of the championship.

    In an exciting Group A match, Ghana grabbed the lead in the 23rd minute with a solid goal from Aziz Misbau.

    Nigeria fought back, equalising in the 83rd minute to secure a 1-1 draw.

    This closely contested opener sets the tone for a competitive tournament ahead.

    The Black Satellites are back in action today, July 16, 2025, taking on Benin’s Young Squirrels in their second group match of the 2025 WAFU Zone B U20 Championship.

    Ghana holds a favourable record against Benin with two wins and a draw in their last three encounters.

    The Black Satellites have consistently demonstrated their superiority in this fixture and will be aiming to extend that dominance.

    A win against Benin today could secure Ghana’s early qualification to the semi-finals.

    With high confidence levels, Ghana aims to deliver a strong performance against Benin, taking a vital step toward winning the title.
