Ghana women’s national football team produced a commanding display to thrash Russia women’s national football team 4–0 in their Pink Ladies Cup clash on Tuesday, continuing their impressive run in the tournament in the United Arab Emirates.

Ghana made a bright start and were rewarded in the 8th minute when Stella Nyamekye broke the deadlock with a clinical finish. The early goal set the tone for a dominant first-half performance from the Black Queens.

Doris Boaduwaa extended the lead in the 17th minute, calmly slotting home after a swift attacking move. The forward struck again in the 33rd minute to complete her brace and give Ghana a comfortable 3–0 advantage heading into the break.

Russia struggled to cope with Ghana’s pace and movement, while the Queens’ defence remained resolute to deny their opponents any clear chances.

Substitute Patience Ajegipena Zakaria put the result beyond doubt in the 88th minute, finishing neatly to cap an emphatic victory.

The win strengthens Ghana’s preparations for upcoming international assignments as the team continues to build momentum in the four-nation competition.
