Ghana international Mary Amponsah has demonstrated her support for women’s football development by donating assorted drinks to Blacoe Soccer Queens during the ongoing GFA Regional Championship at the Tuba Astro Turf.
The Black Queens forward, who currently plies her trade in the Chinese women’s league, presented cartons of malt drinks and bottled water to the team ahead of their competition fixtures. The gesture was warmly received by players and officials of Blacoe Soccer Queens, who described the donation as timely and encouraging.
Amponsah’s contribution forms part of efforts by Ghanaian footballers abroad to support grassroots football and inspire young female players in the country. Her visit to the championship also served as motivation for the participating athletes, many of whom aspire to play professionally and represent Ghana at the international level.
The GFA Regional Championship continues to provide a platform for young talents to showcase their abilities while promoting the growth of women’s football across the country.
Amponsah has remained one of Ghana’s notable female football exports in recent years, with her performances in China earning praise from football enthusiasts back home. Her latest gesture has further strengthened her connection with local football development initiatives in Ghana.
