Ghana’s Black Princesses have returned home after securing a crucial 1-0 victory over South Africa in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier.

The hard-fought away win ensured Ghana progressed to the final round of the qualifiers with a 3-2 aggregate triumph over their South African counterparts. The decisive result capped a determined two-legged performance by the Princesses, who showed resilience to edge past their opponents and keep their World Cup hopes alive.

The team touched down at the Kotoka International Airport late on Sunday, February 15, 2026, to complete a successful trip. Their qualification to the final round sets up a decisive clash against Uganda in May 2026, with a place at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup at stake.

The Black Princesses will now shift focus to preparations for the final hurdle as they aim to secure qualification for the global tournament.
