Ghana’s U-20 women’s national team, the Black Princesses, received words of encouragement ahead of their crucial FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Uganda after hosting Presidential Staffer Nana Yaa Gyantuah at their hotel in Kampala.
The visit formed part of efforts to boost the morale of the team as they prepare for Saturday’s decisive second-leg encounter against the Ugandans. Gyantuah interacted with the players and technical team, praising their commitment and determination throughout the qualification campaign.
She urged the players to remain focused, disciplined and give their maximum effort on the pitch as they seek to secure qualification to the next stage of the competition.
The Black Princesses head into the match with a slight advantage after recording a 2-1 victory in the first leg in Ghana last weekend. The team is hoping to complete the task away from home and continue their push towards a place at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Confidence remains high in camp as preparations intensify ahead of the important showdown in Kampala.
