Ghana’s Black Princesses have advanced to the third round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after defeating Tunisia 4-0 on aggregate.

In the return leg, played on Saturday September 27, 2025, Mercy Attobrah opened the scoring in the 37th minute after Ghana had missed several early opportunities to take the lead.

Ivy Osei Owusu nearly doubled the advantage before halftime with a brilliant solo run, but her effort narrowly missed the target as the Princesses went into the break 1-0 up.

Head coach Charles Sampson’s tactical changes proved decisive in the second half.

Substitute Agnes Yeboah made an immediate impact, scoring with her first touch in the 46th minute to give Ghana a comfortable cushion.

Despite creating numerous chances afterwards, Ghana were denied further goals by a determined Tunisian defence.

However, the 2-0 win on the day, added to their first-leg victory, sealed a commanding 4-0 aggregate triumph for the Princesses.

The result sets up a third-round showdown against South Africa in February as Ghana continue their quest for a place at the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
